I just had the opportunity to get out of the office and play some golf in a tournament out at Silverstone. I was pleasantly surprised at the appearance of the golf course when I arrived. The course looks great driving in and even better when you get out there.

I really do enjoy playing out at Silverstone. They do a great job on the maintenance of the golf course and the greens are always in great shape. I am always surprised that considering how much play they get at Silverstone, the greens remain pure. You hit them on the line, and your ball will stay on it. You get a great mixture of holes at Silverstone that will reward you if you hit that perfect shot.

One of my favorite holes at Silverstone is the third hole on the Mountain nine. It is a really long par 5 that plays over 600 yards. After the drive, you have to negotiate a lay-up around water and the shot into the green has water all along the left-hand side. You really need to hit three good shots to put that 4 on the scorecard.

So if you're looking for a fun golf course to play that is not overly challenging, consider Silverstone. I'm sure you will have a great time out there like I did.
