Featured Golf Course
May 2008
By: Scott Bowles

With the $2,500,000 desert beautification project complete, Silverstone Golf Club has definitely taken it up a notch. Though the improvements did not include tees, fairways and greens (as there was no need), the visual definition of the golf course has greatly improved the golf experience.
Tee to green, Silverstone Golf Club has always been an enjoyable round of golf. The par 5's are long (like they should be), the par 4's are very playable and there is a wide array of par 3's to spice your round of golf up a bit, not to mention the 28th hole. Yes, a 28th hole dubbed "The Decider Hole" is a short par-3 located just behind the clubhouse there for you and your group to settle any disputes or just to clean up all those hanging skins.
Two and a half million is not chump change, so you can imagine the kind of color and depth this improvement has added. You'll definitely cut a few less corners than before. Silverstone Golf Club was designed by legendary golf course architect Robert Cupp. It has 3 distinct nines (Mountain, Desert, & Valley) with the longest hole in Nevada - the 653-yard hole number 3 on the Mountain. The bent grass greens and rye grass fairways allow the course to remain in great playing condition 365 days a year. The huge practice facility is a bonus and may be used before and after your round. Silverstone Golf Club is also the home of The Las Vegas Celebrity Players Tour.
This already challenging yet fair 27 hole golf course has some special offers this month. If you book a round of golf through us at Silverstone Golf Club in the month of May you will get a voucher for free breakfast or lunch as well the use of rental clubs if you choose.
