Silverstone Golf Club Offers New GPS System

Silverstone Golf Club now offers the Inforemer GPS System by GPS Industries. GPS Industries founded by legendary golfer Greg Norman has always been on the cutting edge of business and his latest venture with the Informer GPS is sure to take the golfing community by storm.

Matt Utter, Director of Sales for GPS Industries, says, " We had to put up several towers around the golf course to fully cover it in a Wi-Fi signal. If you have a Wi-Fi device you will be able to access the system." This system further enhances the accuracy of the GPS system while allowing for a sports ticker to run in the upper right hand corner of the screen. Golfers will be able to get their favorite sports scores without having to miss their round of golf.

Silverstone made the decision to upgrade their GPS system after their previous system was experiencing some problems. "Often times the system was not very accurate and units didn't always turn on when they were needed" concludes a representative at Silverstone.

The Inforemer System has 10.4" LCD screens that bring the golf course to life, it also includes a leaderboard feature that can be used during golf tournaments. Golfers can use the electronic scoring system to access up to the minute leaderboards of everyone in their group. "They used the Inforemer GPS system recently in a golf tournament and it performed flawlessly" says Utter. This unique feature should further enhance the golfers enjoyment of Silverstone Golf Course.
