Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort

Las Vegas Paiute Resort's mastermind in golf design, Pete Dye, is certainly known for designing and building world-class golf courses (i.e. TPC Sawgrass) and his legacy in Nevada is extraordinary.
My recent visit to Las Vegas Paiute Resort left me wondering what was new and reinventing about this place. My answer was nothing, and nothing is just fine when you're not a Las Vegas Strip Hotel. A 54-hole golf facility doesn't need reinventing and the fact that it is older and established is actually a benefit. The only thing you need to know about the Las Vegas Paiute Golf Club is that it is in pristine condition, the clubhouse is world-class, and it's like owning your own golf course for a day, more like three for that matter.
The three golf courses; Sun, Snow & Wolf are all great creations, though the Wolf gets a bit more attention due to it's length at up to 7600 yards and a Shells Wonderful World of Golf that was filmed there as it opened in 2001, pairing Karrie Webb vs. Annika Sorenstam in an epic match with both shooting in the mid 60's. The original two courses, Sun & Snow are just as good, and in some local circles in Las Vegas they are considered better. In my experience, you can't go wrong with any of the three. One of the greatest things about playing golf at Las Vegas Paiute Resort, is you feel that it is just yourself and the golf course! There are no homes, no roads, no ambulances, and you can even see the clubhouse from much of the courses.
