The New Hot Spot on The Las Vegas Strip

The Planet Hollywood franchise is making a bold statement by opening a hotel and casino on the Las Vegas Strip. This forward-thinking group has recently bought the newly built Aladdin Hotel and is turning it into a Hollywood hot-spot right here in Las Vegas. The renovations of the property have been going on for quite some time and things are scheduled to be completed in the first quarter of 2008.

Changing a resort from a Middle Eastern theme to a Hollywood playground takes a lot of work, but they have really moving at a rapid place. The casino area has been completely revamped using black and brown as the main color motif. Along the walls guests will be captivated by the color-changing lights that enhance the mood of the property.

Throughout Planet Hollywood they have added Swarovski Crystal pieces including the elaborately designed main lobby area. This main lobby area is located below the casino floor and can be accessed without ever seeing the gaming areas. This is a nice feature for those families who want to shield the younger children from the adult entertainment above.

Currently each of the more than 2,500 rooms at the Casino Resort is being completely redesigned and updated with the new Planet Hollywood theme. Like the popular restaurants, a piece of movie memorabilia will be featured in each room on property. Perhaps your room will include the leather jacket worn by Arnold Schwarzenegger in the Terminator or a replica guitar played by Jimmy Hendrix. This added touch makes the Planet Hollywood a unique fixture on the Las Vegas Strip.

Each of the new rooms at Planet Hollywood has a modern look with felt-lined furniture and a tan and purple color scheme. All of the bathrooms will feature tile floors and a deep tub and shower. The smallest of the room is 500 sq. ft. but the hotel also has suites over 3,000 sq. ft.

As one would expect the Planet Hollywood Resort is on the cutting edge of entertainment. Currently there are two shows that guests can enjoy on the property. Stomp Out Loud is a rambunctious and highly entertaining musical show that features performers who communicate on stage through drums and dance. This is certainly not a show for the faint of heart and will have the audience standing on their feet.

Hans Klok, a world-renowned magician, has teamed up with Hollywood beauty Pamela Anderson to dazzle audiences with one of the best magic shows on the Las Vegas Strip. I suppose this would not be Planet Hollywood without a major star headlining the showroom.

Currently there is a night club under construction called Prive which should be opened up sometime in November. This nightclub will be the popular among Hollywood VIP's and local patrons. Until then, guests can enjoy the fun at one of the many bars on the property including the Heart Bar which features live entertainment.

The number of high quality restaurants at the Las Vegas Planet Hollywood Resort will appeal to any palate. There is the Strip House, a great steak house, Qong, a Japanese fusion restaurant and the Earl of Sandwich, which features reasonably-priced sandwiches. There is also a buffet on the property for those guests who like the traditional Las Vegas dining experience.
