As the cold finger of winter grips the northern half of the United States, Las Vegas is blessed with some of the best weather in the country. From now until the end of the year is the best time to visit the gambling capital of the world. Moderate temperatures and clear blue skies make for the perfect climate to engage in outdoor activities. Golfing and hiking are some of the most popular winter activities in the Las Vegas desert. Shed that heavy winter coat and bask in the sun that shines brightly over Las Vegas during the winter months.



There is no better time to play golf in Las Vegas than October through December. Once again the National Finals Rodeo will be held in Las Vegas. This is the biggest rodeo in the country and attracts all the top cowboys in the country to compete for the largest prizes of the year. Bull riding and steer wrestling are some of the most popular events, and the action never disappoints the fans. The NFR starts on Dec 6th and runs through Dec 15th. Tickets for this event range from $80 to over $1,000 depending on how close you want to be to the action.



Several other events must be put on your calendar including the Floyd Mayweather Jr. fight on Dec. 8th and legendary Tenor Andrea Bocelli with dazzle audiences on Dec. 1st.
