Angel Park Makes Some Needed Improvements

Las Vegas, Nevada is one of the fastest growing cities in the United States. No place has more growth right now that in the northwest section of the city. Angel Park Golf Club is located right in the heart of several major condo developments that are currently under construction.

With this tremendous influx of people the traffic in the area can only get more congested. In an effort to lessen the impact of this growth and make exiting the golf course safer, Angel Park is creating a separate access area to their parking lot.

The new road from the parking lot will connect to a stop light located across from the Suncoast Hotel and Casino. This will make it much safer for golfers traveling south on Rampart to enter the street. Typically it is very difficult to enter the south bound lanes from the current entrance. This new exit will have a stop light that should virtually eliminate any dangerous situations.

In order to accomplish this goal the 18th green on the Palm course is going to be relocated closer to the tee. During the construction period they will be using a temporary green. David Stead, Director of Golf, said they should have the new green ready for play after the overseeding period which is at the end of September.

Rampart has seen hyperactive growth since Angel Park was first built. The Suncoast Hotel, Rampart Hotel and two new condo developments have put a tremendous strain on the traffic in this area. This should be a welcome addition for both golfers and motorists.
